Aston Martin V8

This project started as an engine rebuild only. When the client’s garage decided they could not remove the engine Tolman Motorsport was asked to, which of course led to other work. First was an engine bay refurbishment to compliment the new engine. The automatic gearbox was then rebuilt and modified for a faster and more positive change. Next on the list was to renew the head lining and carpets, improving on the original to include Whilton carpet throughout. During this phase we were asked if we could sympathetically install a modern stereo, speakers and amplifier. We achieved these goals by working with the trimmers and hiding all the modern parts but looking standard!

Work Completed

• Engine rebuild to include increased compression ratio, ported and polished cylinder heads and inlet manifolds. Bigger valves. Lightened and balanced bottom end. Bespoke Stainless steel headers. Full Rolling road set up to optimise fuelling.
• Rebuilt and modified Auto gearbox for faster and more positive changes.
• New head lining and carpets. Rebuilt dash assembly.
• Stereo install including new speakers, wiring, amplifiers and I-pod connection. Hidden and disguised so sympathetic to original.

Result / Outcome

Customer very happy with all aspect of the build. He now uses the car more than ever, enjoying the extra power and relaxed driving! Already discussing having a suspension upgrade towards the end of the year!
